I finally decided to make a real FAQ about this, not just because I wanted to; there wasn't any out there yet, and also because I really have so much time to kill... Not many people knows about every aspect and features All lucky 7s provides. This is why me, me, decided to create this FAQ. People are ignoring a lot from Square and this has yet to be discovered. I could almost bet no one will ever read this but, like I said I got time to kill y'know! Well, let's get some data now... NOTE: This is the faq you will see the most time "7777" in you entire life! Let us start... 7777 7777 7777 7777 7777!!! }:Þ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Legal Crap [A02] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay dude, you know, You can make any money by using this FAQ, but 90% of money is my propriety, as well as all prizes gained, if you do not accept these terms, you can always use freely this FAQ for Personal Use Only. I think this is clear enough. I am the owner and the creator of this FAQ, you own nothing of it but nothing. Protected by ©Copyright. Only Gamefaqs & Caves of Narshe may publish this FAQ. If you want to publish this FAQ, the answer is: you can't. Strangely enough, A site that I won't name asked for HOSTING my FAQ on their site. I respectfully refused and 2 weeks later while checking on Google for people stealing my work, I fell on that site. I had to get through it the harsh way. So, DON'T HOST; HOTLINK. For all those who asks me to >>host<< this FAQ on their site, will receive curses, insults, along with a painful death. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Version History [A03] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ º 1.08 I think this update will make a lot of people happy since I used Word. Which means most of my ugly grammatical mistakes are gone! :D Also added White Wind in the "Achieving 7777HP" section. º 1.07 Fixed the Max HP chart. I wasn't annoyed enough that it wasn't working, in fact I only received 1 mail about it. Also added 2 methods to reach 7777HP. º 1.06 Just a few updates to the many people complaining. And a new section about the few complaints in some e-mails. º 1.05 I got some mails from people and updated the FAQ, duh why would it be another version if it wasn't the case? Dunno... Also Fixed grammar "Air Tame Storm" --> "Aire Tam Storm" Woops I was misplacing the "e", sorry guys. Fixed. Yet, I'm sorry for not having corrected this FAQ even once from its start... Really sorry but I'm too lazy. AS YOU ARE :P (not even getting the info yourself you have to look in someone else's FAQ, pathetic). Ahhh no don't hurt me for writing that. *scared* Thanks to have taken the time to read those things that were obviously immature stupidities. º 1.04 GREATLY reduced the size of the FAQ and deleted a section that was huge, for no reason. I guess I removed everything useless in my point of view for any players. º 1.03 Finished to verify everything and made the FAQ more readable as it wasn't on the first time I sent it to GameFaqs. º 1.02 Still waiting for GameFaqs to accept but I noticed there was a lot of stuff I forgot to fix. Tested AL7sBM on Hyppogriph while flying and Cloud revealed to Ignore that status he attacked once and hit the beast which instantly died. Remove someone from the credits for half-true information. Added how to reach 7777 HP via Materias. º 1.01 I have been fixing a few things. But that's quite the most of it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All Lucky 7s Basics [B01] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Introduction ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ As soon as one of your character's HP drops or increase to exactly 7777 in battle, this character will trigger the thing I will call from now on: All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode. All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ What is that Berserk mode? Every character having 7777 HP simultaneously will Constantly attack randomly enemies for a total of 64 hits for each 7777 damage, note that those hits will NOT be affected by any Elemental Property, neither status ailments addition. Those hits CAN hit (I'm corrected by a few people here, I was never missing due to my 255 dex), which means it's sure that you will fully launch 64 hits of 7777. Every attack will be calculated by your characters speed being in "All Lucky 7s Mode". During this Berserk mode, there will be no way for you of you enemy to act. Sneak attack is the only thing in the game that has priority over All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode. This Berserk mode can only happen ONCE per battle. Too bad for you, even if you have 3 characters in All Lucky 7s mode, the number of hits will still remain 64. Don't forget that as soon as your HP change, AL7sBM is cancelled (it can only happen via a counter though). Rare Counterattacks in the game will pierce it, but if you aren't prepared, All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode won't save you for this battle. (This was tested on Ruby weapon, after a hit, a tentacle will automatically counterattack after the first hit, draining 95%HP of the attacker) Being in All Lucky 7s Mode ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ All Lucky 7s Mode is what I call when a character reaches exactly 7777 HP, you will be able to notice that a character in All Lucky 7s Mode will having is name Flashing of Rainbow colors. This also means that most actions of your character will increase/decrease to 7777. I am not including non-damaging/non-Healing/non-Draining/etc. stuff. You will automatically lose All Lucky 7s mode if your character's HP drops or increase, but you can still go back in All Lucky 7s mode, this is why it is good to have more than one character with 7777HP (Kill/Revive with 7777HP). After-Battle Effects ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ To avoid massive cheating, Square made a barrier that drops Every Character that was still in All Lucky 7s Mode to 1HP. There is no known way to exploit that 1HP in order to get back to 7777 so you will have to reset your HP back to 7777 the long way. Enemies entering All Lucky 7s Mode ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is indeed possible for enemies to enter All Lucky 7s Mode, you are very unlucky if this happened to you even once, because it's really deadly. It is the same for enemies as for your characters: it requires 7777HP. But do not worry too much, because enemies cannot go into All Lucky 7s Berserk mode, which prevents you from instant death except if you are invincible. There is yet an advantage to that, all their damaging spells and attacks now reaching 7777, you may result into turning them to 1 hit kill themselves by casting reflect on yourself vs. 7777 damage magic or casting confusion so it attacks itself. Quadra Magic ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Some of you knows that the Quadra Magic normally casts 4 times a magic instead of only one at 3/5 power each. But is it going to take away 4666HP four times with (Quadra Magic)-(Fire) ? The answer is NO. There is no way to reduce or increase damage/healing/draining while being in All Lucky 7s Mode. The only way is to reduce anything from 7777 to 0, and that can only be achieved by being invincible. Long Reach ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode totally ignores enemies flying that normally cannot be reached using physical attacks while not having the materia "Long Range" equipped. The character will use its normal attack animation and damage the target by 7777 as usual. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Achieving 7777HP [B02] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Materia ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ The method we will be mostly exploiting in this FAQ. HP reduction via materias is the fastest Method. After reducing your HP correctly in order to have 77 as the last digits, remove your materias (which are used to reduce your HP, -10%/-5%/-2%). Use potion as always and here you go, 7777HP. Look at the following example. Procedure: Let's pick up a random number *rolling*, 9731. Now use the calculator in your computer on any calculator that can repeat the same action without corrupting the number. Input 9731, then "-", then 1% of the first number which is 97,31. now that your formula is 9731-97,31=??? always press Enter/= until your two last digits are 76,?? or 77 (not 76,00). So it should look like this (This chart was made with M. Excel, it's also a good way to discover good percentages): 8631 100% 6904,8 80% 5178,6 60% 3452,4 40% 1726,2 20% 8544,69 99% 6818,49 79% 5092,29 59% 3366,09 39% 1639,89 19% 8458,38 98% 6732,18 78% 5005,98 58% 3279,78 38% 1553,58 18% 8372,07 97% 6645,87 77% 4919,67 57% 3193,47 37% 1467,27 17% 8285,76 96% 6559,56 76% 4833,36 56% 3107,16 36% 1380,96 16% 8199,45 95% 6473,25 75% 4747,05 55% 3020,85 35% 1294,65 15% 8113,14 94% 6386,94 74% 4660,74 54% 2934,54 34% 1208,34 14% 8026,83 93% 6300,63 73% 4574,43 53% 2848,23 33% 1122,03 13% 7940,52 92% 6214,32 72% 4488,12 52% 2761,92 32% 1035,72 12% 7854,21 91% 6128,01 71% 4401,81 51% 2675,61 31% 949,41 11% 7767,9 90% 6041,7 70% 4315,5 50% 2589,3 30% 863,1 10% 7681,59 89% 5955,39 69% 4229,19 49% 2502,99 29% 776,79 9% 7595,28 88% 5869,08 68% 4142,88 48% 2416,68 28% 690,48 8% 7508,97 87% 5782,77 67% 4056,57 47% 2330,37 27% 604,17 7% 7422,66 86% 5696,46 66% 3970,26 46% 2244,06 26% 517,86 6% 7336,35 85% 5610,15 65% 3883,95 45% 2157,75 25% 431,55 5% 7250,04 84% 5523,84 64% 3797,64 44% 2071,44 24% 345,24 4% 7163,73 83% 5437,53 63% 3711,33 43% 1985,13 23% 258,93 3% 7077,42 82% 5351,22 62% 3625,02 42% 1898,82 22% 172,62 2% 6991,11 81% 5264,91 61% 3538,71 41% 1812,51 21% 86,31 1% Let's look at what we got here: 7077,42 82% 776,79 9% The First One is useless because of that ",42" which makes the number round up to 7078 (every number with decimals are rounded up). But, the same thing happens with the second one with that ",79". So 776,79 becomes 777. If you are using a calculator, use a correct number and divide it by its original. 776,79 / 8631 = 0,09 or 9% Now just bring down your HP to that number with the appropriate Materias, make sure you are fully healed (777/777HP), then remove every materia. Now that your HP is exactly at 777/8631HP, just give your character 14 Hi-potions to reach 7777HP. Check Section [B03] to know how you can attain 7777 as Max HP. Halve Cat's Bell ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Second best method (in terms of easy access). If you didn't know, Cat's bell increases your HP to the upper pair number. That way we cannot reach 7777HP using only a Cat's bell. Your last HP digits will have to be 54, use Cat's bell to do so, but make sure that your second digit (hundreds) is an impair number (1,3,5,7 or 9). Now enter a battle against a weak enemy because you wouldn't want to get hit right? Use anything that will halve your character's HP (Demi 2, Laser, etc.), then run away or kill off the enemies. Example: 5154/2 = 2577HP Just use potions in order to reach 7777HP Chocobuckle ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ An Overlooked Skill because if trained, it can bring you in All Lucky 7s mode instantly in any battle. If you have 9999HP you can either escape 2222 battles or escape 1111 battles and use it twice. You will fall automatically to 7777HP. Easiest way, and hardest one to obtain... An alternate way is using the HP<->MP materia along with a MP plus materia to reach 999HP. Just use chocobuckle to drop the last digits at "77", remove the materias and heal with potions. Emerald's Aire Tam Storm ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ A pretty easy way to drop at 7777HP, just be sure your Evade% is not too high. You must have 9999HP for this one, and equip 2 Materias one being HP Plus to reach 9999. If you didn't already know, Aire Tam Storm damage formula is the following: 1111*Number of Materias equipped on character = 2222 here. 9999-2222=7777HP isn't that just great for one of the two mightiest boss in the game? Luck ¯¯¯¯ Of course AL7 was discovered by a lot of people because of luck. Who would have thought of it? I'm just saying that you must be lucky enough so that your HP drops/Increases to 7777. Personally it happened me twice in a game. This has nothing to do with the stat "Luck", I'm talking about IRL luck. Regen ¯¯¯¯¯ If someone could tell me more about this one, I'd appreciate. Since I haven't played the game in months (but I'm still updating this crap), I won't test how to reach/keep 7777HP using that method. But it had been said that it's possible using regen, I just need to know more... In fact, I created the All Lucky 7's FAQ, no? White Wind ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ White Wind can be used pretty much the same way as chocobuckle, but easier to use to mass your characters with 7777HP. Instead of dropping your HP to 7777, you will increase it to 7777. There are many ways to use it, but I'll only point out this one which I consider the best: - Get your two last HP digits with Cloud to 67 and make sure he's fully healed. - Drop your two other character's HP to 10 using materias, then remove. (it's the minimum, you won't get past it) - Get in a battle and use White Wind, quickly end the battle to keep your HP. All you will have to do now is using potions to reach 7777HP, just switch party members and repeat. In only a few minutes all your characters will have 7777 HP! Except for Cloud, simply use another method for him. Other ¯¯¯¯¯ There is an INFINITE amount of ways to reach 7777HP. But I would like you not mail/PM me for things such as casting mini on an enemy and wait 'till you drop at ??77HP. That's ridiculously long! So unless you find a new way that can provide a fast reaching of 7777HP, don't tell me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Max HP: 7777 [B03] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here is a big chart that was calculated with excel. I have chosen every possible HP reduction via Materias to create this chart. So having 599% HP being impossible (you would need a minimum of 17 materia slots to reach that number), it was removed from the chart. After big calculations, the database acquired numbers with decimal numbers, which have been tested after without those decimal number (rounded down). Here are the only numbers that passed the test. This took me quite a while to create it. The bad thing here is that you need more HP Plus Materias at Master Level the less Base HP your character has, and that goes for slots in Weapon & Armor too. Note: Don't think you can attain all the following Base HP. They were only calculated. Most of them aren't in the game. It's just interesting to know before a hard boss if you have anybody in your party that could use 7777 as his Max HP. Enjoy Example: Your character's Base HP is 8102 lucky you... In order to reach 7777 as Max HP, you will need to bring it down to 96% So equip 2 weak Magic Materias (-2% each) and here you go, 7777 Max HP. The number in the first column represents Base HP and the second one is the Percentage to Increase/Decrease Your Max HP to 7777. For Instance, "6590 118%" Means that If you have 6590 Base HP with one of your characters, you can bring him/her at 7777HP by using Materias to increase her Max HP by 28%. Note: The chart is new (07/06/06) because it was re-made entirely to provide you with working numbers (which wasn't the case before, I'm really sorry), and excludes impossible combos that would require more than 16 materias. I only realised this after viewing a Japanese chart (which I can't find anywhere, it was posted on the board many times though) and the fact someone tried one of the number I provided and fell at 7776HP. Have fun! I will provide an example to show you how to calculate the number of materias you need in order to reach the desired number (7777) Example: It requires 257% HP at 3026 Base HP to reach 7777. Subtract as many Master HP Plus as possible Here (257% - 50%*5=7%). You now have a Base number of Materias to equip of 5, if of course you have 5 Master HP Plus Materias. Now Find +07% (7%) which can be found at "6 Materias" Section Add your needed "HP Plus" which is 5 here, then add the number of Materias written in the section, 6 here. 6+5 that makes a Minimum of 11 slots to be able to reach 7777 Max HP using the number 3026. Keep in mind to always Keep an HP Plus of every level to make sure you can attain the correct number because every % will require a HP Plus of a specific level. To increase your max HP to 7777 here, you will need to equip 11 Materias which are the following as you can see yourself: º HP Plus ***** x5 º HP Plus ** x1 º -5%HP Materia x1 º -2%HP Materia x4 Don't forget that you can almost always use other Materias to Drop your HP if your HP Plus' level is too high. Example: HP Plus **** (+40%HP) is the same as HP Plus ***** (+50%) + Shield (-10%) = +40%HP. But performing this will require more slots. 1 Materia: +10% +20% +30% +40% +50% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ 2 Materias: +05% +08% +15% +18% +25% +28% +35% +38% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ +45% +48% 3 Materias: +03% +06% +13% +16% +23% +26% +33% +36% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ +43% +46% 4 Materias: +01% +04% +11% +14% +21% +24% +31% +34% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ +41% +44% 5 Materias: +02% +09% +12% +19% +22% +29% +32% +39% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ +42% 6 Materias: +07% +17% +27% +37% +49% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ 7 Materias: +47% ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Getting 7777HP with "Insert [B04] character name here" at level X ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just pointing out something: No matter what you say, like: "My RedXIII hs 7777HP at level 58 withh phoenix, ultima n contain, you should put it in ur faq!" - NO HP/MP gain is totally random and but can be exploited to reach the character's max HP/MP. Yet I find it useless to level up 5 times per level (by resetting) to achieve +300/400 HP. Note: Only Barret is able to reach 9999HP (no materia) without cheating your game. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AL7 Effects [C01] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay there was a HUGE chart below before but I removed it since it seemed to be totally useless. This section is about how All Lucky 7 Mode will affect items, skills, magic, summons, limits and pretty much anything. 1º Every amount of HP/MP taken away, restored will be converted to 7777. 2º RECOVERY (Elixir, Megalixir, Pulse of Life, etc.). Any of skills that displays "RECOVERY" are NOT affected by AL7sM 3º Using mime, the only way to mime a 7777 damaging/healing/draining action is to have 7777HP with the person using the command. You cannot Mime All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode, all that will happen is that your character will use a normal physical attack with the proper damage calculated 4º A critical damage will still remain 7777 damage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AL7 Black List [C02] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Obviously, there are some enemies or bosses in the game that prevents All Lucky 7's Berserk Mode to damage them in some way. Mostly only at the beginning of the battle. Here they are, including an explanation. Gargoyle --> Nothern Crater Gargoyles are petrified at the beginning at the battle, so any attacks are useless against them. But because they are turned to stone, throwing a soft at them says to result in instant death. Magic Pot --> Northern Crater Everything is no use against that little monster hiding in a pot, the only way to counter this is to give them an elixir. But you don't need all lucky 7s here, they shouldn't attack you at all. But if you give them an Megalixir, they won't really appreciate... Strangely, Magic pots still have a low chance of counterattacking after the first it. A bug may occur, such as a Magic Pot dying from the first hit, taking off 0 HP, instantly killing it off (note that this happened to me while I was attacking the Magic pot from behind in a side attack) Diamond Weapon --> Midgar Area Being Granted physical Immunity, All lucky 7s Berserk Mode seems to be useless against this boss, even if he isn't hard at all, yet one of the easiest in the game. Ruby Weapon --> Gold Saucer Desert At the beginning of the battle, Ruby Weapon is immune to everything you will use on him. As soon as he puts his hands on the ground for the FIRST time, this invulnerability vanishes for the rest of the battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pulverize Weapons [C03] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I won't explain much, Everything is below. Note: (?/4) Means there isn't a minimum level needed for that Materia. Level 1 is far enough. (Reset if you haven't done enough damage) *Ruby will pull his tentacles out of the ground* 2- Use a potion on yourself, your will reach 7777HP, which means AL7sBM: (800,000 - 7777*64 = 302,272) *Ruby will put his tentacles in the ground* 3- Use Quadra Comet 2 on the tentacles, they won't stand a chance. *Ruby will pull his tentacles out of the ground* 4- Use Quadra Comet 2 twice on Ruby with W-Magic (302,272 - 7777*4*4*2 = 53,408) *Ruby will put his tentacles in the ground* 5- Use W-Magic: Life (All) & Comet 2 (Ruby) to revive your party and Vanquish the boss You will have all characters alive, so you will gain every EXP & AP. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 7777HP Battle Sq. [D01] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is possible to Use All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode, but not at its full potential in the Battle Square, yet it is pretty useful. The effects are the following. - As soon as you have 7777HP, All Lucky 7 BM will automatically activate itself. - From a battle to another, All Lucky 7s BM will reset, allowing you to use it again. HOWEVER, if you already have 7777HP at the following enemy, All Lucky 7s Berserk Mode WON'T activate itself until you act. If you aren't careful or fast enough, an enemy will attack you, and may even hit you. - Because your HP/MP remains the same before and after a battle, if you started with 7777HP, you won't have to bring it back there. - After you take an action with 7777HP to reactive the Berserk Mode, your character's Speed bar will not reset until the enemy is dead. This is extremely bad, because at the next fight, your speed bar will be almost empty. Your worst enemies here (handicaps): Damage 30*Time Half HP Half HP/MP Core Poison(if not protected) Wish not to fall on any of these while being in the battle Square. W-Commands: ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It has been discovered that if you use/cast twice in a row while having 7777HP, You will be able to keep your speed bar indefinitely full. After the first action will be taken, your character will enter AL7sBM and do as usual. No monster in the Battle square can survive the 64 hits, so you are guaranteed that at the next fight, your speed bar will still be full because the second action was never taken and will never be. Now watch out for materia Breaks, because if it falls on yellow/all materias, you're done using this trick. Setup: ¯¯¯¯¯¯ I guess what the best setup possible would be a W-Item materias and as much as possible HP plus materias so that you can stand a lot of these common "Max HP/2" handicaps. Magic or summon materias can also be useful because it shouldn't happen very often that you keep your HP up at 7777 all the 8 fights long. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Credits [ZAB] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tanks to SquareSoft for making my favourites games, thanks to everything in it, this game is awesome.
